Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms
texttcg lets you keep a trading-card portfolio by text message. You agree to these terms — and to the Privacy Policy— by using the service: requesting a sign-in code, texting that code to our number, or texting our number at all. If you don't agree, don't use texttcg.
2. Your account is your phone number
Signing in works by proving you control a phone number: our site shows you a one-time code and you text it to us from your phone. There are no passwords. You're responsible for what happens from your number; if you lose control of it, contact us.
3. Text messaging
We only text you in response to messages you send us (including sign-in codes you request on the site). We don't send marketing texts. Price alerts you configure yourself (the Scanner) text you when they fire — that's a message you asked for, and removing the alert stops it. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Text STOP and we'll stop replying until you text us again.
4. Your content
Photos and messages you send us stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them (including with third-party image-recognition services) solely to run texttcg — identifying cards, keeping your portfolio, and replying to you. Only send photos you have the right to share.
5. Subscriptions
Some features (like automatic photo identification) may require a paid subscription, billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time from the billing portal on your profile; access runs to the end of the paid period. All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial periods or unused scans, except where a refund is required by law — scanning and message delivery incur real costs the moment you use them. Where offered, you can instead buy a fixed 30-day pass with USDC via Solana Pay; crypto payments don't auto-renew (nothing can pull from your wallet), additional payments extend your pass from its current expiry, and payments are final once confirmed on chain.
6. Card data and accuracy
Card identifications are automated and can be wrong — you can correct any log by reply. Catalog data and card art are provided for identification and portfolio display only. texttcg is a fan-made tool: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the publishers of any trading card game. All card names, images, and trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no using it to spam or harass anyone, and no scraping other users' data. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
8. Intellectual property and affiliation
texttcg is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK, The Pokémon Company (International), Bandai, Toei Animation, Shueisha, Riot Games, or any trading card game publisher, grading company, or marketplace. All card names, card artwork, set names, logos, and related trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners. We make no claim to any of them.
Official card images are shown solely so you can identify and organize physical cards you already own — a catalog function, not a license to the artwork. If you are a rights holder and want an image or name removed, email support@texttcg.com and we will act promptly.
9. Photo storage and access
Photos you send are stored as private objects: they are not publicly accessible, and the app serves them through authenticated, time-limited links. Exactly two parties can see your scans — you, in your own portfolio, and texttcg's team(administrators and moderators — engineering and support), who can access them for support, moderation, and debugging (for example, investigating a scan you reported as wrong). They are never shown to other users or on public profiles. During identification, a photo is shared with our AI processing provider solely to identify the card. You can permanently delete any photo from its card's page at any time.
10. Market estimates
Where offered, market value estimates come from third-party price aggregators, refresh periodically, and may be wrong, stale, incomplete, or shown in a different currency.We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any estimate — the underlying data is collected and computed by third parties, and we pass it along without verification. An estimate is not an appraisal, a quote, or an offer to buy or sell; prices actually realized in the market may differ materially, in either direction. They are informational only: texttcg is not a financial advisor, does not provide investment advice, and does not intend to influence any trading, purchase, sale, or other financial decision. You alone are responsible for decisions about your cards, and any reliance on an estimate is at your own risk. Estimates are shown only after you explicitly enable them and accept this disclaimer.
11. Disclaimers and liability
texttcg is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. It is a portfolio tracker, not financial, investment, or pricing advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Ending or changing things
You can stop using texttcg at any time and ask us to delete your account and data. We may change or discontinue features, and may update these terms — if we make material changes, we'll note the new date above, and continuing to use the service means you accept them.
